These photos are from Monterey beach. I had to go register for sea
otter and drove down ok Wednesday. Crazy thing was, not 100 feet down
the path, there were about ten people. I figured they were watching
sea lions. They were watching sea lions--and I saw a baby sea lion
born. Right there, on the beach, I saw a wild sea otter come into the
world. An omen? A sign of change? It was crazy. The baby was
easily 1/4 the size of the mother. I couldn't believe it
